I currently act as Lecturer | Assistant Professor in GIS at The University of Sheffield, UK.
Prior to this, I was a full-time postdoc (research associate) in PLACES lab with a strong focus on Green Infrastructure Planning and Metropolitan Transformations. I teach the M.Sc. courses such as Green Infrastructure in Metropolitan Areas.
I got my PhD from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), within the dissertation published in the title of “Urban Green Infrastructure Planning: Multifunctional Networks for Sustainable Urban Development”. Previously, I did my research in the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research – UFZ, Leipzig from 2015-2020 for the Urban Transformations project. I have worked on several GI planning projects collaborating with TUM and other Chinese universities since 2013.
My research interests lie primarily in the trans- and interdisciplinary areas, especially in the fields of landscape and urban ecology, land resources management, landscape planning and management and social-ecological systems research.
